According to data released last week by Israel's Airport Authority and related to the first half of 2006, passenger traffic at Ben-Gurion International Airport recently broke the 4-million passenger mark
The data also shows that the number of flights during that period increased by 11%, from 28,300 in 2005 to 32,000.
The number of international passengers, passing through the Ben-Gurion terminal, both Israeli citizens and foreign citizens, reached 4.1 million, up 12% in the first 6 months of 2006, compared to the 3.7 million passengers in same period last year.
Domestic air travel also rose by 11.4% in the first half of year, while the number of transit passengers grew by 31.2%.
