Air Berlin doubles nonstop weekly flights from Berlin to Israel

Starting the end of June, the carrier will have six weekly flights

Air Berlin, Germany's second largest airline, will double the weekly flights on its Berlin-Tel Aviv route to six, beginning at the end of June, as the airline's competition against Lufthansa on the route intensifies.

Air Berlin CCO Paul Gregorowitsch: "Israel is a strategically important market for Air Berlin. Since the start of the first nonstop flights from Berlin to Tel Aviv in the summer of 2009, Air Berlin’s connections to Israel from Germany and Austria have consistently expanded.

The doubling of Berlin to Tel Aviv flights from three to six weekly will contribute to bringing Germany and Israel even closer together. The Air Berlin group’s extensive network also offers passengers additional connection options from the Berlin, Dusseldorf and Vienna hubs."
