Britain's Monarch Airlines is adding a new route between Tel Aviv and Manchester starting in April 2016.

Monarch will offer 3 weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on an Airbus A320 planes, that embody 174 seats. On Tuesdays, flight will leave from Ben-Gurion international Airport’s Terminal 3 at 6:25 pm and arrive in Manchester around 10:10 pm, on Thursday it will leave at 7:40 pm arriving at 11:25 pm, and on Saturdays at 11:10 pm arriving at 2:55 am.

This decision comes after the successful launch of Monarch flights from Luton to Ben Gurion international airport and Ovda airport, earlier in December.

Monarch said in a press release that Tel Aviv had been growing in popularity as a leisure destination in recent years.

Monarch’s head of network development Marjan Schoeke said, “We continuously refine and develop our network strategy looking closely at where and at what time our customers want to fly. In addition and based on demand we will also be launching a Manchester to Tel Aviv service. This follows on from a successful launch of flights to Israel at the beginning of December.”
