CAL Cargo Airlines inaugurates five weekly cargo flights to Vienna

CAL Cargo Airlines Ltd. an all cargo airline with its corporate headquarters in Airport City near Ben Gurion International Airport, has announced the inauguration of five weekly cargo service from Israel to Vienna, Austria.

 

The new service which will begin on August 2nd, will operate every day of the week, except Saturday and Sunday. The airline noted that cargo will be flown in and out on the express flights operated by TNT.

 

Ronen Regerman VP Commercial at CAL Cargo Airlines said that the new service is unique and provides shippers with an opportunity to ship outsized cargo which is not suitable to passenger planes to and from Vienna. Regerman added that Vienna has become an important hub for goods destined to East European countries.

 

The airline operates daily scheduled cargo flights and charter services carrying nonstandard goods and general cargo internationally. The airline carries approximately 100,000 tons of cargo annually, including all categories of nonstandard cargo: temperature controlled pharmaceutical and healthcare products, live animals, dangerous goods, oversize and overweight cargo, fresh perishable products and valuable goods including fine art.
