CAL Cargo Airlines, Israel-registered, Liége-based carrier and provider of top-quality professional worldwide air cargo services, announced that on December 19th it had begun cargo flights from Victorville USA via JFK to Liege (Belgium) and to Israel.

The flight was executed with its newly purchased 747-400-ERF, an original 2007 manufactured freighter with GE engines.

This new cargo aircraft completes the upgrade of CAL's fleet to two new open nose and door freighters. With these new freighters, CAL is able to fly non-stop from its Liege hub to Latin American and Asia Pacific.

While many airlines are reducing or even terminating their freighter capacity, CAL is significantly extending flight distance capability, fuel consumption and loading capacity.

The upgraded fleet will support and expand CAL's specialization in non-standard cargo such as oversize and overweight, dangerous goods, cool chain and live animals.
