El Al cargo receive "Envirotainer" accreditation

El Al cargo has gained accreditation as a Qualified Envirotainer Provider (QEP) after meeting the requirements of Envirotainer’s training and quality programme for the distribution of temperature sensitive healthcare products.

Envirotainer, a specialist in ‘active’ temperature-controlled air cargo containers, launched its QEP/CEP Training and Quality Program at the request of shippers of healthcare products, and in response to industry guidance. The program works with service providers equipped to properly manage shipments using Envirotainer containers. By doing so, providers meet requirements defined in the current Good Distribution Practices (GDP) guidance documents, which include the requirements of the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

In a press release the company noted that ten of its stations have been accredited as Qualified Envirotainer Providers (QEP). In North America: Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). In Europe Liège Airport (LGG), Amsterdam airport Schiphol (AMS), Paris - Charles de Gaulle (CDG); London Heathrow Airport (LHR). In Asia Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), Mumbai Airport (BOM)
All ten stations met the requirements to earn the Envirotainer accreditation.
