Israeli airline El Al plans to begin nonstop service from Boston Logan International Airport to Tel Aviv next summer.

The Israeli carrier did not detail an exact start date, but says it plans to start with three weekly Boston-Tel Aviv flights starting in June.

El Al will use Boeing 767-300ER aircraft for the flights. The route is yet to be approved by the El Al’s board of directors, which is expected to meet in the next few weeks. Approval is expected, which would make Boston El Al's fourth U.S. destination.

Currently, El Al flies directly to just three US cities: Los Angeles, New York and Newark, N.J. A Boeing 767-300 ER airplane with 218 seats will leave Tel Aviv at 12:30 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday and land in Boston at 5:45 a.m. The flight to Tel Aviv departs from Boston at 9 p.m. that evening and arrives at 3:05 p.m. the next day.
