Arab News website reported that direct flight will be offered from Israel to Israeli Muslims who wish to fly to Saudi Arabia for the haj pilgrimage to Mecca this October.
According to the Arab News website the flights will be operated by Jordanian Airlines. Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) denied media reports that its airports would handle direct flights from Israel.
GACA Spokesman Khaled Al-Khaibari said Palestinian pilgrims would be transported from Egyptian or Jordanian airports or travel to Makkah and Madinah by road through Jordan.
