Israel's CAL Cargo airlines flew out tonnes of Nova Scotia seafood from Halifax Stanfield International Airport this December.

 

Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) CEO Joyce Carter noted that "We welcome CAL Cargo Airlines to our airport community," she added: "Not only does this new service support our seafood industry, it provides positive impact on our provincial economy and signals continued growth of air cargo at Halifax Stanfield as we play our role in working toward Nova Scotia's goal of achieving 50 per cent export growth over the next decade."

 

The flights from Halifax Stanfield International Airport destined for Liege, Belgium, where CAL Group of Israel operates a hub. The airline offers connecting service to Hong Kong and Shanghai.

 

Eyal Zagagi, CEO of CAL Group noted that : “We’re thrilled to open the flights from Halifax". This move, along with round-trip service from Atlanta announced a few months ago, has “significantly strengthened our foothold and expanded our network in North America. We look forward to continuing this momentum and further increasing our presence throughout the new year.”
