Rolf Koller, general manager Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines in Israel, said that Lufthansa plans to boost capacity on routes between Germany and Israel this year to meet rising demand and plans to add an additional flight between Frankfurt and Tel Aviv, using 190-seat Airbus A321 aircraft.

 

In all, Lufthansa aims for 29 weekly flights to and from Germany - 18 on its Frankfurt route, eight on its Munich route and two on its Berlin route.

 

The Lufthansa Group Airlines – Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Germanwings, Eurowings, Lufthansa and Swiss operate 70 weekly flights to Israel.

 

Koller also noted that the group is examining increase in capacity on the Munich Tel Aviv route, adding another flight to its summer schedule.
