UP flight 2521 to Prague with 174 passengers on board had to turn around shortly after taking off from Ben Gurion International Airport, after rubber parts from wheel found on runway.

After UP flight took off from Ben-Gurion airport, rubber parts from its right wheel were found on the runway, forcing the plane to turn around so the wheel can be repaired.

The plane arrived back at Ben-Gurion Airport around 10 am and started circling the area several times north and east of the airport, flying low to allow an examination of its wheel.

The emergency teams at the airport were prepared and on high alert, and at 10.16 am, the aircraft landed safely.
