United Airlines announced it will launch a nonstop flight between Tel Aviv and San Francisco.

The company noted that in addition to its 14 weekly flights to New York (two per day), the airline will also fly to San Francisco, starting on April 1, 2016. The 787-9 Dreamliner flights UA955 will depart Tel Aviv at 12:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and land in San Francisco at 6:00 a.m. the same day.

The UA954 return flight will depart San Francisco at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and arrive in Tel Aviv at 8:10 p.m. the following days.

The Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 passenger jets, considered one of the world's most advanced, has 252 seats, including 48 in business class and 88 in upgraded tourist class.

The plane also offers a satellite-based WiFi hookup and electrical sockets.
The three new weekly flights will begin just four months after American Airlines will exit the Israeli market with its nonstop flight between Tel Aviv and Philadelphia.
