Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced will launch a new route between Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport and Romania in the summer.
From July 1, Wizz Air will operate two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays between Tel Aviv and Iasi using a new Airbus 320.
The Central and Estern European low-cost airline already operates flights between Ben Gurion Airport and nine destinations in Europe - Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca in Romania, Budapest (Hungary), Warsaw and Katowice in Poland, Prague (Czech Republic), Sofia (Bulgaria), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Lviv (Ukraine).
Wizz Air is continuously looking at opportunities to expand its network of destinations and provide low-cost air transport to and from Central and Eastern Europe.
Wizz Air currently offers flights on over 410 routes in Europe and beyond. The network is constantly being expanded and new destinations are being introduced. Wizz Air has a young, single type Airbus A320 fleet and all 65 aircraft are powered by International Aero Engine’s V-2500 engines and equipped with 180 leather seats.
Wizz Air was recently named Value Airline of the Year by Air Transport World magazine for its success in 2015.
