Low-cost airline easyJet plc are planning to launch a new service from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv, which would be the tenth European city from which easyJet will fly to Tel Aviv.

easyJet already operates eight routes from Ben Gurion airport and a ninth route to Paris begins on March 30, 2015.

With the inauguration of the Paris route the low-cost carrier will fly more than half a million passengers a year into and out of Israel on 37 weekly departures to London (Gatwick), London (Luton), Manchester, Geneva, Basel, Rome, Milan, Berlin, and Paris. Right now, flight options from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv are limited to KLM and El Al, with summer low-cost flights operated by Transavia. The easyJet flights from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv still need to be approved by the government bodies, but will open new opportunities for Dutch looking to explore Israel.

EasyJet is a British airline carrier based at London Luton Airport. It is the largest airline of the United Kingdom, by number of passengers carried, operating domestic and international scheduled services on over 600 routes in 32 countries.
