Preliminary estimates issued by the Israel Airport Authority show that 12.4 million passengers passed through Ben Gurion International Airport in 2012, 1.5% more than in 2011.
Ben Gurion International Airport handled 89,700 take-offs and landings by international flights, 0.5% fewer than in 2012.
The most popular destinations in 2012 were the US, Germany, Italy, France, and Russia. 1.4 million passengers departed to or arrived from the US, the leading destination, 12% of total passenger traffic in 2012.
