Ben Gurion Airport Held Ebola Identification Training Exercise

Medical and security teams at Ben Gurion International Airport held an exercise on last Friday morning, in order to simulate an arrival of an Ebola-infected passenger to Israel.

The exercise included initial questioning, as well as evacuation and hospital treatment.

The new guidelines require passengers coming from 15 destinations in western Africa - including Liberia, Sierra Leon and Guinea - to answer questionnaires detailing Ebola symptoms. They will also be asked to declare their medical condition.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu instructed that preparations to be increased at all entry points into Israel, including preventive measures such as taking the temperature of passengers arriving from areas in which there is concern over the spread of Ebola.
