Surprised military drill was called at Ben-Gurion International Airport last Friday to test real time emergency capabilities.

 

Starting at 8am and finishing at 12pm, Ben-Gurion Airport was closed for international flights. Flights resumed at 2:30pm.

 

Ben-Gurion Airport Authority stressed that passengers should still reach the airport three hours prior to their flights departure. Domestic movement continued as regular and left from Terminal 1.

 

The train station at Ben Gurion International Airport was also closed Friday morning between the hours of 8:00 a.m.- 11:15 a.m. as part of the security exercise. During the exercise, the train did not stop at the Ben-Gurion International Airport station.
