Israel Airports Authority expects that an estimated 1.1 million passengers will pass through Ben Gurion International Airport during the Passover holiday period, 14% more than last year.

 

Data released by Israel Airports Authority noted that there will be 6,900 flights, up 15% from last year. This figure includes 134 low-cost flights leaving from Terminal 1 during the week of Passover (an average of 20 per day).

 

The busiest days at the airport will be Thursday April 21 when 71,000 passengers pass through the airport, Thursday April 28 (67,700) and Sunday May 1 (77,200). The most popular destinations for Israelis this year are: Turkey (transfer flights), Greece, Italy, France and the US.
