The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) is planning to build a dedicated terminal for General aviation i.e. executive and private international flights, as is customary in most international airports.
The reason for planning the dedicated terminal is the ongoing growth in the number of executive and private flights over the past few years.
A statement issued to the local press noted that:
"The decision to build a separate terminal for private flights was made due to the increase in the number of private flights taking off at Ben-Gurion Airport and the desire to provide the same level of service that is available at most modern airports worldwide." The terminal’s main purpose is to supply the quality of service requested by the market segment of executive and private flight passengers – as customary in most international airports worldwide.The Israel Airports Authority published recently a tender for the design, building and operation of the proposed terminal

The new terminal will have an area of 1,200 square meters and include a departure concourse and private lounges. It will offer passengers a full range of services, including security checks, customs, and passport control. There will also be two duty-free shops

The IAA intends to ensure that the franchise holder chosen to run the terminal has no ownership ties with the ground service or other auxiliary-service companies operating at Ben Gurion Airport
