James Richardson to operate the duty free shops at Ben Gurion Airport

The company won the Israel Airports Authority tender for the operation of duty-free shops for seven years

James Richardson Ltd. won last week the Israel Airports Authority tender for the operation of duty-free shops at Ben Gurion Airport.

The company's headquarters, situated adjacent to the airport, handles the entire range of the company's retailing activities, which include: 8 duty free shops at Ben Gurion Airport, plus a drugstore and a confectionery shop in the Sky Hall and in the reception hall.

James Richardson shops carry cosmetics, liquor, tobacco goods, chocolate and confectionery, sports items and fashion, and comprise a delicatessen and drugstore.

In addition to the airport, James Richardson operates duty free shops at the Jordan River Terminal and at Taba border crossings, as well as at the Haifa and Ashdod sea ports – including supplies for ship crews.

The company also operates duty free shops onboard cruise liners and passenger flights. The company employs a staff of 1,500.
