Israel's Transportation, Road Safety and Infrastructure Minister Yisrael Katz approved Arkia Airlines' application to fly between Israel's Ben-Gurion International Airport (TLV) and Zvartnots International Airport (IATA: EVN, ICAO: UDYZ) Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
According to a press release the Minister said that, Arkia airline was able to conduct Israel-Armenia flights due to a bilateral agreement signed in 1997 between Israel and Armenia. The route has only been serviced, until now, by Armenia airline Armavia.
