Aviation talks between Germany and Israel broke down

The talks broke down last Wednesday following Germany's refusal to grant Israeli airlines their requested landing rights
 
Talks between the Israel Aviation Authority (IAA) and its German counterpart on increasing flights between the two countries broke down last Wednesday following Germany's refusal to grant Israeli airlines their requested landing rights.
 
The Israeli delegation headed by Mr. Udi Zohar  Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority concluded agreements over multiple designated airlines, bilateral flight frequency, cargo operation, route schedule and an amendment of the bilateral code-share arrangement. The two delegations could not, however, reach an agreement over landing rights in Germany.
According to Mr. Udi Zohar the issue of landing rights and slots availability at the airports was the only stumbling block between the two parties.
 
It is understood that German airports have not enough slots thus reducing flight frequencies to Germany.
