“Avir Ham” company plans to operate regular daily flights over the Negev Desert, the Dead Sea and the Arava regions
 
Israel Airports Authority (ICAA ) granted last week a local entrepreneur a license to operate hot-air balloons. In a press release issued by the ICAA in was noted that the license had been granted following several successful test flights in the Southern part of the country.
 
The license, according to the ICAA, had been granted to Mr. Moran Itzkovitz, a commercial pilot and aircraft technician.
 
Itzkovitz's company, Avir Ham ("hot air") which was founded in 2003 built a test facility in Arad, which the ICAA had approved for maintaining the balloons.
 
The company plans to operate regular daily flights over the Negev Desert, the Dead Sea and the Arava regions, where weather conditions are considered excellent for ballooning.
