In August alone, 15,397 passengers were flown. Delta report high demand for for its daily flight to Atlanta

Esty Herskowicz, Manager Delta Airlines Israel, said last week that over 109,000 passengers had flown with Delta on its Atlanta – TLV – Atlanta route between January – August 2007.

Herskowicz added that in August alone, 15,397 passengers were flown, an increase of 31% compared to the parallel period last year.

She noted that Delta Airlines is highly satisfied with the demand for its daily flight to Atlanta which reached an average of 84% of the aircraft capacity during August 2007.

Delta Airlines Israel is in the midst of preparation for the inauguration of the planned daily flight from JFK to Israel, due to begin in March 2008.

The proposed flight is yet to be approved by the government.
