Mr. Doron Maor will be deputy director general for cargo. Mr. Danny Shapiro who heads the cargo division will leave the post
El Al's president, Chaim Romano, announced last week an organizational change in the company, advancing the cargo division to a more prominent position within the overall structure of the company, and the appointment of Mr. Doron Maor to the post of deputy director general for cargo.
In a press release Romano said that the cargo sector is a highly important element within El Al generation some 20% of the company's revenues.
Romano added that in recent years the cargo has gone through changes, experiencing fierce competition, increase in costs which demand new thinking.
Mr. Danny Shapiro who heads the cargo division will leave the post.
Mr. Maor, 49,a former pilot in the IAF, holds a second degree in management from Tel Aviv University.
