The aircraft which arrived to Israel last week from Bangkok with 88 tons of cargo on board ,was built in 1995. El Al Israel airlines reported last February that a MOU had been signed with an Irish firm to lease a Boeing 747-400F.
The aircraft has been leased for a period of 24 months with an option for additional 12 months.
The Boeing 747-400F Freighter has main Deck capacity of 30 pallets, 244 cm x 318 cm and can carry 124 tons of cargo plus 164 tons fuel. Maximum Range of 4,445 nautical miles (8,230 km) and is able to carry 100 tons of cargo on direct flights to New York and 110 tons from New York to Israel.
