Due to increased demand during the winter period (November - March) by business travelers, El Al has decided to cater for this market segment and increase frequencies and capacity.
 
Rami Levi, El Al's Senior Deputy Director General of Marketing said in a press release issued last week that the business community show increasing demand for long distance flights hence El Al has to provide the right answers for this highly important market segment.
 
Levi noted that a recent study carried out by the company shows that the business community have special needs such as night flights, direct flights. The increasing demand for flights to North American , the Far East and South African destinations made the company to reconsider flight frequencies and seating capacity to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Hong Kong, Bombay and Johannesburg.
 
The new 777s have been designed with spacious cabins, mood lighting and state-of-the-art personal digital entertainment systems offered to all passengers. First and Platinum Business class seats will have expanded recline options, an articulating arm, a personal reading light with a dimmer, a large one-piece tray table, an individual cocktail table, a coat hook and a 110-volt PC power outlet. First Class will feature adjustable, wide flat-bed seats with a 77-inch pitch (reclining to a full horizontal position), a complementary sleep suit and a personal shoe compartment.
