Israel Airports Authority reported last week that during August Ben-Gurion International Airport handled 23,859 tons of air cargo compared to 21,432 in August 2009, an increase of 11.32%.

In August El Al carried on its passenger aircraft 5,339 ton, an increase of 24.19% compared to the parallel (4,299 tons).
During the first eight months – January to August 2010, El Al carried 38,579 on its passenger aircraft an increase of 27.5% compared to the parallel (30,253 tons).
In August C.A.L carried on its freighters 4,170 tons, an increase of 14.5% compared to the parallel (3,640 tons).
During the first eight months – January to August 2010, C.A.L carried 37,698 tons, an increase of 8.34% compared to the parallel (34,795 tons).
In August El Al carried on its freighters 2,805 tons, an increase of 10.5% compared to the parallel (2,537 tons). During the first eight months – January to August 2010, El Al carried 30,800 tons, an increase of 7.1% compared to the parallel (28,751 tons).
In August El Al held a market share of 26% whereas C.A.L held 39% of Israel's air cargo market.
