Israel approved more flights to Germany

The approval is based on the new aviation agreement signed between Israel to Germany. AL Cargo Airlines was approved to fly between Tel Aviv Frankfurtand Cologne
 
The Israeli Transportation Ministry approved last Sunday additional scheduled flights to German destinations. The approval is based on the new aviation agreement signed between Israel to Germany last month enables both countries to operate up to 30 weekly scheduled flights compared to 18 flights until now. The new agreement also allows for flights to be operated to new destinations in Germany.
 
Arkia Israeli Airlines, CAL Cargo Airlines, Israir and Sun D'or, a subsidiary of El Al Israel Airlines, were approved for the flights, the ministry said.
 
According to the decision Arkia Israeli Airlines was granted a status of second designated carrier on the Tel Aviv Munich route and Tel Aviv Dusseldorf route. Israir was nominated as a designated carrier between Tel Aviv Berlin and Stuttgart and Sun D'or was granted rights to fly to Frankfurt and Dusseldorf.
 
CAL Cargo Airlines was approved to fly between Tel Aviv Frankfurtand Cologne. Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz said in the statement issued by the Ministry that the decision will promote competition in the industry and "push down prices on flights to Germany”.
