El Al signed an agreement with French airline Corsairfly and Arkia signed an agreement with US Airways for follow-on flights via Paris
Arkia Airlines Ltd. and El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. have recently signed cooperation agreements with foreign airlines which will enable the two carriers to offer flights to worldwide destinations.
El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. signed an agreement with French airline Corsairfly, under which El Al will market flights to follow-on destinations from Paris to a number of destinations, including Montreal and Cuba. (Corsairfly, a subsidiary of Germany's TUI AG, is an airline based in Rungis, France.It is currently the second largest French airline after Air France).
In a press release El Al said that Passengers who will fly to Charles de Gaulle airport will be taken by shuttle bus to Orly International Airport for their follow-on flights by Corsairfly.
Arkia Airlines Ltd. signed an agreement with US Airways which will enable Arkia to offer flights via Paris to Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.
In a press release Arkia said that the two companies plan to offer flights from Israel to additional seven destinations in the US via Paris.
It is understood that Arkia is working to sign other agreements with foreign airlines in Europe for connecting flights to other global destinations.
