Israir Airlines, a low cost Israeli operator, announced last week it would operate four weekly direct flights on the Tel Aviv - New York route.
According to the company the flights will begin in April when its new Airbus 330 will be delivered.

Two months ago, these flights were discontinued completely.
Last week the company announced it had been decided to resume them with the new Airbus 330.
Israir is known to be well aware that the Tel Aviv New York route enjoys high demand and is crowded with four companies offering 43 direct weekly flights: El Al offering 22 weekly flights, Continental offering 14 weekly flights and Delta offering 7 weekly flights.
