Lufthansa Cargo flew last week two hippopotamus from Tel Aviv airport on direct flight to Frankfurt en-route to Ho Chi Minh City zoo, Vietnam.
At Frankfurt the animals stayed for a period of 14 hours at the Frankfurt Animal Lounge,
The hippopotamus is recognizable for its barrel-shaped torso, enormous mouth and teeth, hairless body, stubby legs and tremendous size.
It took the workers at the Safari zoo several hours to catch and prepare the two animals, a young female and a young male, for their long haul journey.
The Ho Chi Minh City zoo is often called zoological garden or botanical garden, is one of the oldest zoos in the world. The zoo came into being since 1864 and includes a lot of rare fauna and flora from all over the world.
