The organizers of the 16th International Agritech Exhibition which will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel from May 9th - 11th, 2006 have agreed with the two European leading air-carriers Lufthansa and Swiss to be the official carriers for the exhibition.
The terms of the agreement stipulates that the carriers will provide a 25% discount for the 6,000 visitors expected to visit the event. Dan Meiri, General Manager, Agritech said that both Lufthansa and Swiss have a logistic advantage over other carriers due to their excellent frequency as well as coverage of the globe.
Since many visitors come from countries which have no direct air link with Israel the selection of the two air carriers would benefit the event. Agritech 2006 is organized by Agritech Association, Kenes International, the Israel Trade Fairs & Convention Center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Israel Institute for Export & International Cooperation, the Ministry of Industry Trade and labor and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
