The Maman Group, which specializes in providing ground handling services for cargo at Israel's airports, as well as the full range of logistics services within Israel and abroad has signed a distribution contract with HPL - Helman Pharmatzetical Logistics.
Within the framework of the agreement Maman has invested over NIS1.5 millions to set up a special cold storage warehouse for pharmaceutical products.
In a press release Maman's President Mrs Nehama Ronen said that the distribution agreement signed is part of Maman's new marketing concept which is dedicated to offering a complete range of services including warehousing, handling and distribution.
According to Ronen the recently signed agreement was fully coordinated with the Israeli Ministry of Health in line with the Ministry's goal for setting up a national pharmaceuticals handling standard based on international standards for the handling and distribution of sensitive pharmaceuticals.
Once approved, the logistic sector involved in handling pharmaceuticals will have to fully adhere to the new standard. Ronen noted that once the pilot is over and the system is fully integrated with the clients Maman would be able to provide a highly professional solution to sensitive products from its cold storage facility right to aircraft bellies.
