Israel and Switzerland signed a new air traffic agreement last week which allows both countries to increase the number of flights.

The new bilateral air service agreement signed last Tuesday, in Bern, by Mr. Ben Ari, deputy director general of Israel's Civil Aviation Authority, and his Swiss counterpart, Mrs. Fontana Lorence, deputy director general of The Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), allows both countries to operate 17 weekly schedule flights instead of 11 today.

Data released by Israel's Civil Aviation Authority shows that annual passenger traffic between the two countries amounts to 400,000 passengers.
