After a ten-year suspension the Scandinavian airlines will offer a weekly service and will add another flight during the summer

Scandinavia Airlines (SAS) has announced the resumption of scheduled flights between Israel and Scandinavia after nearly 10 years of service suspension.

The flight resumption is in line with SAS’s strategy of strengthening its product, offering to both business and leisure passengers.

The Copenhagen-Tel Aviv route will reopen on 4 June, with a weekly flight. SASwill operate the route by an Airbus 319, which can accommodate 141 passengers, or an Airbus 321, which can seat 198. In November, SAS will increase its flights to three a week, including follow-on flights from Copenhagen to other destinations in Scandinavia, the Baltic states, the Far East and North America.

Said Mרller Jensen, Vice President Brand, Marketing and EuroBonus of SASin a press release: “There is no doubt that a direct route to and from Tel Aviv will attract both tourists and business people from the area to Scandinavia. We are really looking forward to the launch of the route and being able to welcome our passengers on board”.
