The survey ratings show a clear dominance by airports in Asia over those in Europe
 
A survey published last week by UK airline & airport rating company Skytrax revealed that Ben Gurion is the best airport in the Middle East, ahead of airports in Bahrain and Doha.
 
Skytrax, a privately owned UK company, are specialist Research Advisors to the air transport industry.
 
Skytrax operate the unique, global online Airline & Airport guide, which is now one of the world's most popular, independent travel forum and air travel information web sites.
 
The organisation undertake Product, Service and Passenger research studies for airlines, airline alliances, airports and related air transport product and service suppliers across the globe - offering an unrivalled experience and knowledge of this specialist market.
 
The survey, which is conducted over ten months every year, tracked 190 airports worldwide and interviewed 8.2 million passengers.
 
Hong Kong was named World's Best Airport 2008, Singapore's Changi Airport came second followed in third and fourth place by Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.
 
At the bottom of the top ten are airports in Zurich, Helsinki and Cape Town. The ratings show a clear dominance by airports in Asia over those in Europe as well as those in the US, none of which made it to the top ten.
