Three major airlines had already announced their full commitment to the new cargo terminal. The Cargo Terminal opened its gates on Sunday
 
Mr. Amnon Avraham, Managing Director, Swissport Israel Ltd. announced last week that Swissport Cargo Terminal would open its gates on Sunday, June 15th.
 
Avraham noted that with the opening of the market in air cargo terminals at Ben Gurion Airport to competition, three major airlines had already announced their full commitment to the new cargo terminal.
 
C.A.L. Cargo Air Lines, Israel's second largest air carrier, had announced that from 16 June 2008 the Swissport Israel Terminal will be added to its supplier‘s register. Swiss Cargo followed and announced that its first cargo would be unloaded at the terminal on June 17th and Korean Air Cargo announced it would begin using Swissport on July 1st.
 
C.A.L. has decided that its export operations will be concentrated at the Swissport Terminal while its import operations will be concentrated at Maman.
 
With its new building, Swissport is able to offer state of the art warehouse technology and smooth logistic services with a total annual potential cargo capacity in the range of 200,000 tons.
