The Ministry of Finance, Israel Land Authority, and Israel Airports Authority signed an agreement in principle to vacate Sde Dov Airport in north Tel Aviv by 2016.
According to the agreement 12,000 apartments are planned to be built on the site.
Under the agreement in principle, the Airports Authority will cease all operations at Sde Dov by June 30, 2016. Operations will be transferred to Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport and other sites.
