Low-cost airline Thomsonfly, owned by German tour operator TUI AG made last week its first flight to Ben Gurion Airport from Luton London Airport.
 
Thomsonfly will operate on the route 200-seat Boeing 737 offering direct flights to Tel Aviv starting from £79.99 one way and £139.98 return on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Luton and Manchester.
 
Thomsonfly’s price does not include meals, beverages, or luggage handling, which are priced separately Check-in allowance is at an additional cost. For £10 passengers will be entitled to 20kg and 5kg hand luggage.
 
The airline charges $12 one-way for meals, $10 for luggage handling, and $10 for a reserved seat. The add-ons could result in a price tag of about $300 for a round trip flight at the cheaper rate.
