UPS Israel has commenced building its new state of the art distribution facility in Ben Gurion Airport, near Tel Aviv.

In a statement issued last week by Mr. Lior Sagie, UPS Israeli operations manager, Sagie said that all legal formalities had been completed and he expected moving in, in early 2008.
The new 10,000 sq.m. facility which is strategically located, adjacent to vital road networks will be build in the airport's new logistic area being developed by the airport authority.

He added that “the new UPS facility brings extensive supply chain expertise, quality and capabilities to more Israeli businesses, which will further improve transit times, visibility and service levels for international trade.”
