12th International Mediterranean Tourism Market 2006 to be held in Israel next month

The 12th International Mediterranean Tourism Market 2006 (IMTM) will be held in February 7-8 at the ultra-modern Pavilion No. 1 of the Israel Trade Fairs & Conventions Center, located in the northern outskirts of Tel Aviv, a 30 minutes drive from Ben Gurion Airport.
 
IMTM - the most important travel and tourism event in the region, will feature many of those very same elements that made it such a success in ‏previous years.

The Exhibition consists of 2 main areas: IMTM Israel & IMTM Global Village and is open to companies, organization and associations offering products and services to the incoming, outgoing and domestic travel trade.
 
Exhibitors include: Hotel Chains, Airlines, Charter Companies, Cruise Companies, Tour Operators, Car Rental Companies, Travel Agencies, Government & Regional Tourist Offices, DMC`s, Trade Magazines and Guidebooks. In a press release the organizing committee noted that for the first time, Morocco will attend the event .Other countries participating in the 12th IMTM include Belgium, Georgia, Russia, Mozambique, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Serbia, Papua New Guinea, and South Korea.
 
The committee noted that Morocco is considered an emerging tourism market. 7,000 Israelis visited the country in 2005, compared with 25,000 in 2000, the peak year. The number of Israeli visitors to Morocco is expected to rise in 2006.
