Exports to the EU was up in the first half by 14% and reached a total of US$ 1.5 billion, compared to the parallel period in 2006
 
Mr. David Arzi, Chairman of the Board, Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute, said last week that during the first six months of 2007 Israel's high tech exports was up 10% compared to the parallel period last year.
 
In a press release published by the economic department of the Export Institute it was noted that exports to the EU was up in the first half by 14% and reached a total of US$ 1.5 billion, compared to the parallel period in 2006.
 
High tech exports to Asia was up 11% (US$ 1.5 billion) to North America by 8% (US$2.5 billion).
 
Arzi noted that for the whole of 2007 he expects high tech exports to increase by 10% to reach a total of US$15.6 billion.
