Israel-Australia, New-Zealand & Oceania Chamber of Commerce awarded last week companies that have excelled and made an outstanding contribution to bilateral trade between Israel and Australia, New Zealand & Oceania.
 
The awards were presented by Ehud Olmert Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor, and Vice Prime Minister and Israel-Australia, New-Zealand & Oceania Chamber of Commerce chairman Mr.Gurion Meltzer .

The trade awards ceremony in which over 220 leading Israeli business-people took part honored the award recipients for Australia and New Zealand: Elisha Yanay general manager Motorola Israel, Lucien Bronicki chairman Ormat, Ze’ev Bregman chief executive Comverse, Erez Meltzer president Netafim, Erez Vigodman, chief executive Strauss Elite.
 
Other Israeli companies that received outstanding trade awards were: HP Indigo, ClickSoftware, Caesar Stone, Rafael, Actellis Networks, ICL Fertilizers, Makteshim-Agan, Mondi-Business Paper (Hadera), Plasson and the RAD group.
 
The ceremony was attended by the Australian Ambassador Tim George, Honorary Consul of New Zealand Mr.Gad Propper and Honorary Consul of Micronesia Mr.Shimon Shenhar.
 
Mr. Olmert noted that bilateral trade between Israel and Australia was over $500 million last year, with Israeli exports approximately double the Australian exports.
