High-tech industry export increased by 13.5%, and mixed technological-traditional industry export rose by 16.3%
The Central Bureau of Statistics published last week October-December 2006 export figures, indicating that commodity exports in the three month period increased by 8.4%.
Industrial production during the same period increased by 9.6%, and proceeds from commerce and services rose by 11.3%.
High-tech export increased by 13.9%. Figures on the export front were no less impressive.
High-tech industry export increased by 13.5%, and mixed technological-traditional industry export rose by 16.3%, while traditional industry increased by only 0.7%. The figures show that imports also increased. Import of commodities increased during the last quarter of 2006 by 9.7%, after an increase of 16.3% in the third quarter.
