The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reported last week that after deteriorating 0.5% in the first quarter of 2005, Israel’s terms of trade improved by 2.8% in second quarter of 2005.
According to the CBS exporters’ profits was up by 3.6% in the second quarter, after rising 1.7% in the first.
The CBS noted that price of imports rose in the second quarter by 0.8%, after rising a cumulative 24% between the first quarter of 2002 and first quarter of 2005, inclusive, when the Euro appreciated against other international currencies.
