The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reported last week that in the period January to September 2005 industrial output increased 4.8%.
 
The CBS also noted that output of the trade and services sector rose by 6.8% in the same period.


CBS's analysis shows that in annualized terms during the third quarter, industrial manufacturing was up by 5.9%, after rising 4.3% in the Q2 and 3.2% in the Q1.

In high-tech the increase was even more pronounced. Output in the high-tech sector was up by 16.3% in the third quarter, after increasing 9.1% in the second and a very low 0.8% in the first.
