Two years after the publication of the €100M international tender for up to 22 cranes (7 quayside container cranes and 15 gantry cranes) for the Haifa's Carmel A container terminal, the port informed last week that Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Co.Ltd. (ZPMC) was elected to supply the port with 7 quayside container cranes.
ZPMC is a world-famous manufacturer of cranes and large steel structures. Its main products include quayside container cranes, rubber- tyred gantry cranes (RTGs). bulk-material ship loaders and unloaders, bucket-wheel stackers and reclaimers, portal cranes, floating cranes engineering vessels and large steel bridge structures. The port has not yet released the name of the party to supply the port with 15 gantry cranes.
