The Colombian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Turism (The Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo, Repתblica de Colombia) announced that the fourth round of negotiations for a free trade agreement between Colombia and Israel is scheduled to take place on 26-29 November in Bogota, Colombia.

The first round of negotiations for a free trade agreement between Colombia and Israel took place from 12 to 15 March 2012 in Jerusalem, Israel. The second round took place in Colombia on 04-07 June 2012. The third round was held in Jerusalem, Israel on 10-13 September 2012.

In recent press interview the Israeli ambassador to Colombia Yoed Magan said that the agreement will "benefit the people" from both countries, and that an important "closeness" has been formed between the countries in the last two years."No doubt this benefits our two populations, in this way I can say that the Israeli government has invited Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos to visit our country to sign this important agreement," said the ambassador.
