Last week we erroneously published an article indicating as if Messers Newlog had reached an agreement with UTi Worldwide inc. to act as its sole representative in Israel.
Following the publication of the article we were informed that UTi Worldwide inc will continue to operate in Israel trough its local subsidiary UTi Israel ( previously Eilat Overseas Ltd ) managed by Mr. Gil Ben Horin.
The agency agreement which will be signed between UTi Worldwide inc. and Newlog will enable Newlog to operate worldwide cargo services through UTi's 264 offices worldwide and 120 logistic centers in 58 countries.
Newlog, a Zim lines subsidiary and a leading international freight forwarder and customs clearing agent, ended recently a long collaboration agreement with EXEL following the latter's take over by Deutsche Post.
We, port2port, appologise for having published incorrect information.
